Nicely engraved by Giralamo Porro (1520-1604). These pseudonymous series of prophecies concerning various late medieval popes were circulating in the late 13th to the early 14th century. This series of roughly thirty prophesies follow Greek Byzantine format and were meant to influence papal elections. Small marginal stain along the five preliminary leaves. Contemporary annotations in brown ink along the margin of the last engraving.
