Marbled end papers and fore edge. A reprint of the 1757 edition. The author, Nicholas Chorier (1612-1692) was a French lawyer, writer and historian. An erotic in the forms of a dialog between women about the marriage bed. A work which first appeared in Latin. The attribution to Meursius is fictitious. Ebert #13954 provides a lengthy explanation regarding the origin of this work, stating that Nicholas Chorier was the author and not Johannes Meursius.
