Small ink notation on the inside blank stating - bound by Lewis. Jean-François Senault (1599¿1672) was a French Augustinian philosopher. First printed in Paris 1641. Willems #559 states that the edition was printed by the Elzeviers in Leyden and later reprinted in 1658. From the Library of Arthur Atherley (1772-1844) with his bookplate on the inside front board. Also includes a later bookplate of the American Banker MORTIMER L. SCHIFF (1877-1931) as well as a modern bookplate of Robert Wayne Stilwell. Some rubbing to the hinges and a small tear on each side of the headband otherwise internally a fresh clean copy. Copinger #4292. Very Good. Item #7560
