Rev Alexander McLeod (1774-1833) is known for his anti-slavery stand and often referred to as to patriarch of the Reformed Presbyterian Church. William Gibson was the brother-in-law of the more well know James McKinney and he fled Ireland in 1797. The Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in America was constituted in Philadelphia May 24th, 1809. Foxed throughout and with some stains. One thread in the last gathering a little loose, but otherwise holding firm. Small chip in the title page, not affecting the text. A good copy of an historically important and clearly well appreciated work. Good. Item #7319
