As per the editors in the advertisement, this edition follows the Pickering edition of 1846. We have, as they write, "endeavored to render these volumes easier reading by rectifying the absurd punctuation; and modernizing the print in respect to capital and italic letters-preserving, of course, in all cases the original spelling". A fresh clean set with minor rubbing on the boards and edges. Contemporary signature of Jonathan Comly on the inside front board and title page. Very Good. Item #7277
