Archbishop James Ussher (1581-1656) was a leader of the Irish Puritans. This work was written in such format so as to make it useful to the family. Lowndes 2745. From the Library of Nathanial Cholmley with his bookplate on the inside front board. Later ownership signature on the inside front blank. Inner hinges cracked and front & endpapers a little frayed. Engraved frontispiece a little chipped along the edges, but otherwise in good condition. Front and rear pastdowns missing. Otherwise internally a clean copy. Good. Item #7142
