Preserving the original marbled end paper at the rear and with a leaf from another work pasted on the inside front board. Complete with three folded plates. A rather unique copy since every lot has the hammer price written in a contemporary hand as well as the name of the winning bidder. DeRicci p100 "George Hibbert (1757-1837) was a wealthy West India merchant, who resided at Clapham and sold his books on retiring into the country. They brought over 23,000 and included a Gutenberg Bible on paper". Kraus #184 Item #307 "Auction catalogue of a collection distinguished especially for the number of books printed on vellum." A contemporary hand written annotation on the inside preliminary leaves have indicated all the hammer prices on the books printed on vellum (80 in total) and that they sold for 2821.11. Some light soiling on a few preliminary as well as end leaves, otherwise a clean copy. Very Good. Item #7139
