Translated by the Rev. Thomas James (1809-1864) and reprinted in more than thirty editions. Tenniel's provided the illustrations to Alice Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. Very minor rubbing to the headband. Contemporary ownership inscription of Martha A. Philips Warner 1867 on the inside front blank. Otherwise internally a fresh clean copy. Very Good. Item #7106
