Lugduni Batavorum: Luchtmans, 1761. Hardcover. [12], 648, [58]. Contemporary vellum stamped in blind on the boards. First printed in 1724 & 38. The author, Albert Schultens, (1686 ¿ 1750), was a Dutch phiologist. He was Professor of Oriental Languages at Leyden from 1732 until his death. He was also the dominent teacher of the Arabic language in the whole of the Europe during his lifetime. Brunet V p227. Ebert #20675. From the Library of Crozer Theological Seminary with bookplate on the inside front board. Also stamped at the bottom text block edge Ambrose Swasey Library. An old bookseller sticker from Fredrik Muller, Amsterdam on the lower inside front board. This is probably the same Fredrik Muller (1817-1881) bookseller, bibliographer and print collector. A couple of light spots on the title page otherwise a fresh clean copy. Very Good. Item #7066
