Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott Company, 1866. Hardcover. xx, 148p. Publishers brown cloth over boards with brown end papers. Richly illustrated edition with about 100 drawings engraved by Sir John Tenniel (1820 ¿ 1914) who is more famous as the political cartoonist for Punch Magazine for over fifty years and for illustrating Lewis Carroll's works about Alice. From the Library of Martha A. Philips with her signature on the inside front blank. The name Warner is written underneath which leads to possible assumption that it could be the New York socialite Martha A. Philips van Norden (1842-1890).
