Richly annotated with marginal notes on the inserted leaves and occasional translations of the text into English. The watermark on the blank leaves by the firm Golding & Snelgrove. There is an unusual reference to Tobias Smollett in a 19th century script by somebody who wrote Humphrey Clinker on one leaf. Bookplate removed in both volumes. Some foxing to the preliminary leaves of the printed text otherwise a fresh clean copy in a rather unique state. Very Good. Item #6820
