The author, Henrik Nicolai Clausen (1793-1877) was a Danish theologian and politician. Clausen was a Professor of Theology at University of Copenhagen and one of Kierkegaard's teachers. Clausen was particularly interested in the early church fathers and this work is his thesis for doctorate in philosophy. Internally a fresh clean copy. A somewhat later ownership signature on the inside front wrapper. Very Good. Item #6774
