One side of the end paper is covered with a patterned silk sheet. The binding is signed M. Ritter on the inside front board. Old signature in pencil on the inside front blank. Nicely illustrated by the French engraver Tony Johannot (1803-1852). Front hinge cracked and a little weak, but can be restored, Tips on the boards are bumped and worn. Small spot on the fore-edge. Very light rubbing to the headband. A very attractive copy. Very Good. Item #6725
