Opera Omnia. Editio novissima quae omnium instar esse potest AD LXXX & amplius MSS. codices, editosque XL collata & emendata, atque Notis uberioribus illustrata cui manum primam.
Lutetiae Parisiorum: Joannem De Bure, 1748. Two volumes. clii, 750p, [2], lxxxii, 827p. Five plates and two folding. Contemporary calf with new labels. Hinges cracked and a little weak. Headband worn with some scratch marks on the boards. Graesse IV p67. Ebert #11616 writes with his usual critical eye: "A new recension; but much that is unnecessary is received into it, and it is not edited with so much care as its rich material demanded". Some slight toning to the paper and a couple of spots on the title page. Otherwise a rather nice copy. From the Library of the Archbishop of Canterbury 1829-1896 with his bookplate. Also a small bookseller's label from D. Nutt Bookseller London on the inside front board in volume 2. Very Good. Item #2603
