London: John Cumberland. Seven works bound in one. 68p, 35p, 58p, 87p, 65p, 54p, [2], 33p. 19th century quarter calf over boards with a richly gilt spine and marbled endpapers. No print dates, but sometime around 1860. The works include Cure for the Heartache; A comedy by Thomas Morton; The Waterman by Charles Dibdin; The Cabinet by Thomas Dibdin; The Way to Pay old Debts by Philip Massinger; The School of Reform by Thomas Morton; The Ambassadors, by A' Beckett; The Devil to Pay by Charles Coffey. A few with frontispieces by George Cruikshank. From the Library of the Free Masonic Lodge in London with a small oval rubber stamp on several pages. Evidence of an unsuccessful attempt to erase the rubber stamps from the front blank and the title page which has left a small bluish smudge mark. Bookplate on the inside front board rubbed. Binding otherwise clean with minor rubbing at the extremities. Item #2409
