Dibdin in the Library Companion p55 writes; "Baxter was a man of great gravity of demeanor and great piety of soul. He was acute and learned withal, and an air of originality pervades most of his writing". Browning to the title page and staining along the lower margin throughout, A few worm holes along the lower margin covering the last 60 pages, but only affecting a couple of letters. Scarce.
