19th century Pennsylvania German Fraktur Birth - Baptism Certificate

Harrisburg: Theo. F. Scheffer, 1853. Broadside measuring approximately 17" x 13". Theodore F. Scheffer (1813-1883) was a printed and bookseller in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He may have been an apprentice of the important color-printing experimenter, Gustav Sigismund Peters. Some old paper repairs on the back and light foxing along the margins with a few spots and crease marks. An attractive well-preserved document nicely printed in color. Item #2353
