St Asaph (Wales: Llanelwy) is an town in Denbighshire in Wales. William Beveridge (1637-1708) was an English clergyman and writer. He was also Bishop of St. Asaph from 1704 until his death. Not listed in Lowndes. ESTC T88180. From the Library of Henry J. Butterfield (1819-1910), a wealthy Victorian textile manufacturer from Keighley, Yorkshire, England with his rubber stamp marked Cliffe Castle. Corners bumped. Worn at the head and foot of the spine. Gilt foredge. Scattered foxing throughout though more severe on the preliminary pages and old black ink stain on the front cover. Old 19th century handwriting on the inside front blank.
