1912. Frontispiece, [59] wrappers with a string tied spine. Mrs Littleton worked together with Texas Congressman Robert Lee Henry to purchase Monticello. Despite gaining support from President Woodrow Wilson and many at the time prominent people, the campaign was unsuccessful. Nicely illustrated. Includes a loosely inserted page from the Jefferson-Monticello Memorial Foundation listing all the members. Small chip at the head of the wrapper otherwise internally clean. Uncommon. Item #10545
