Dutton of New York with their small rubber stamp on the inside front blank. Gilbert Burnet (1643 - 1715) was a Scottish philosopher and historian, and Bishop of Salisbury. Not listed in the Burnet section in the Bohn Catalogue of 1840. A well preserved copy in an attractive binding. Item #10532
