John Fitzgibbon, (1708?-1780) was a barrister and politician born in Limerick, Ireland. At 16, he went to Paris to study medicine. For reasons unclear, he gave up medicine for law and was called to the bar in 1731. He quickly established himself in Ireland as a highly competent lawyer. See DIB. From the Library of John Duke Coleridge (1820-1894) with his signature on the front blank. Duke Coleridge was an English lawyer, judge and Liberal politician.
