Complete with ten engravings in the text. Title page printed in red and black. Richard Verstegen (1550-1640) was an Anglo-Dutch writer and a convert to the Catholic church. Lowndes p2764. Remains of bookplate on the inside front board. Small label in the inside upper left corner of the front board with old text. Older ownership signature crossed out on the title page. Occasional contemporary annotations in the margins. Tiny hole in the margin on leaf XX3 not affecting any text. One inch tear in the margin on p67 with no loss. A few brown spots light marginal stains otherwise a well preserved copy. STC 21362. Item #10452
