Taft (1859-1945) with bookplates in all three volumes. He was also the brother of President William Howard Taft. Spine labels chipped and three missing. Light rubbing to the extremities otherwise internally clean. Also includes a tipped in signed letter from Sydney Smith. The letter has been mounted on a separate sheet, Item #10392
