Handwritten document requesting two-day rations for Light Dragoons July 13, 1777
A handwritten document measuring 6" x 2" dated Elizabeth Town July 13, 1777 requesting provisions for the Light Dragoons consisting of forty-five men and three women for two days commanded by Captain David Plunkett. They were known as the 4th Continental Light Dragoons regiment which consisted of six troops and were raised January 5th, 1777 in Philadelphia for service with the Continental Army under the command of Col. Stephen Moylan (1737-1811). an Irish-American patriot. Slight foxing and two small paper repairs on the back. Item #10384
