A complicated set of issues regarding Georgia's readmission into the Union following the Civil War and Reconstruction. There were conditions imposed and to ensure the rights of African Americans for readmission that were reviewed with arguments from both sides. Small chip in the upper left corner of the front cover and vertical crease mark as a result of having been folded otherwise internally clean. Uncommon. Not in Howes. Item #10363
