Indenture from Marlborough Town, Ulster County, New York 1797
A handwritten land indenture on watermarked paper measuring 12" x 16" between Simon Relyea and Robert Gillmer of the town of Marlborough in Ulster County, New York dated May 25th, 1797 and signed by Simon Relyea. Additional names include Daniel Ostrander which presumably Rev. Daniel Ostrander (1772-1843) and David Ostrander. Chips along the margins with some loss of letters in the left margin. Brown spots in the lower right corner. Crease marks from folds and a couple of small pinholes. Wax seal intact. An interesting early land indenture from Town of Marlborough considering it was founded in 1788. Item #10337
