London: Archibald Constable & Co, 1908. xxiii, 518p. Red cloth over boards with the County arms on the front. Originally published in three volumes over a number of years. Volume 2 appeared in 1926 and volume 3 in 1934. Each volume is complete by itself. William Page (1861-1934), A British Historian, was the editor of the Victoria County History series. This first volume deals with the natural history such as geology, paleontology, botany followed by zoology and Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths). Nicely illustrated. Slight discoloration of rear cover and light rubbing to head and foot of the spine. Internally clean. Item #10324
