The famed letterpress printer Charles Whittingham (1767-1840) traded under the name Whittingham & Rowland until 1812. He began using Chiswick Press around 1811. Attractively bound by the English binder William Worsfold with his stamp at the top edge on the inside front blank. Small stamp G. P. Putnam Sons at the lower corner on the front end paper.
