Washington DC: Government Printing Office, 1862. 87p. 20th century quarter polished blue calf over cloth boards with the title gilt on the spine. Edward D. Baker (1811-1861) was a US Senator from Oregon and a friend of President Lincoln. He was also a US Army colonel and was killed at the Battle of Balls Bluff. Small chip at the front hinge and light rubbing to the headband. A few spots on the original wrapper which is bound in and vertical crease mark as a result of the pamphlet at some time having been folded. Item #10235
