Major Camp (1839-1864) was a Union army officer in the 10th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. He was killed in action in Virginia. Shortly after the end of the civil war, the chaplain of the 10 Connecticut published this biography. Contemporary inscription by B.W. Pettibone dated Dec 25, 1892 on the inside front blank. Some rubbing to the extremities and a small spot on the spine otherwise internally clean. Item #10159
