A school price binding signed Mansell, with bookplate from Owens College, Manchester, Session 1872-73 to Charles Harold Herford (1853-1931) and with his marginal annotations. Herford is mostly remembered for his biography and edition of the works of Benjamin Johnson in 11 volumes. Some rubbing to the spine as a result of frequent use. Hinges a little rubbed but holding fine. An attractive copy with an interesting provenance. Item #10076
