Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772) had firm roots in theology from early years. His father, Bishop Jesper Svedberg, (1663-1735) was also a scholar as well as one of the most notable theologians in Sweden at the time. This rather extensive compendium was edited by Samuel M. Warren and includes a biographical introduction by Hon. John Bigelow. Headband rubbed and a few scratch marks on the front board otherwise internally a fresh clean copy of this rather scarce edition.
