International Peace Conference London 1834

1834. No Binding. A letter addressed 'My Lord' and signed The Lord Chancellor requesting that four individuals mentioned by name, including George Coventry and the noted Henry Browne Mason of Yateley, were added to the list of participants to the Peace Congress in London in 1834. There is a contemporary notation on the back with the words 'Thanks D of W' which could very likely be the Duke of Wellington. Written in clear script on a folded folio leaf. There is a contemporary ink stain on the center of the page affecting a couple of letters as well as in the bottom of the page as a result of the leaf having been folded. Small remains of darker colored paper attached along the fold showing evidence that this letter had once been in a binder of some sort. Very Good. Item #003749

Folio - over 12 - 15" tall.

Price: $200.00
