Contemporary dark green calf with a richly gilt spine in compartments and gilt ruled boards. Marbleized end papers and gilt foredge.Light rubbing to the bindings and mostly to volume one. The binder has by accident spelled 'Spenser' on spine labels with a 'c' so it reads 'Spencer' which no doubt was a rather unfortunate blunder at the time. Some occasional foxing to the pages, otherwise a really fresh clean set. Contemporary signature of A.B. Mounsey, Emman: Coll: 1853 on the inside front blank. Very Good. Item #003407
