Budapest: Magyar Helikon, 1957. Hardcover. 213p. Vellum over boards with gilt decoration on the front board and a gilt decorated spine. A translation into Hungarian of Chronica Hungarorum by Joannes de Thwrocz which first appeared in Latin in 1488. Nicely printed in Garamond type and Limited to 2600 copies where of 500 are numbered. This is number VI. Some general wear to the slip case with a small tear at the foot. Boards ever so slightly bowed. It is interesting from a reasonably recent historical perspective that this chronicle appeared in print in Hungary one year after the Soviets brutally crushed the rebellion in 1956. A fresh clean copy preserved in the original slipcase. Very Good. Item #003381
