From the Library of German Scholar, Diplomat and Jurist Ezechiel Spanheim (1629-1710) with booklabel on the inside front boards. His library was sold at auction on February 1st, 1711. His principal work, De Praestantia et Usu Veterum Numismatum, was published in Rome 1664. He also contributed commentaries to the 1697 Callimachus and produced a French translation of Julian 1696. Additional bookplate of the Swedish noble family von Schwerin. Ebert #16496 considers it a critical edition. Gaselee #28, does not mentioned the expanded index. Schmeling & Stuckey #45.
